In order to reach the objectives for the 2022-2025, the IFMBE has assigned specific resources that the HTAD is implementing through 7 projects that reflect our 3 years-based strategy. Each project is constituted by a specific team and will deliver outcomes that contributes to the HTAD mission and to the overall IFMBE goals.
IFMBE-HTAD Capacity Building Program
Outcome: Formal training on HTA to BMEs and generate HTA training contents for the IFMBE HTAD eLearning platform. Seminars, Workshops, Short-Courses about HTA concepts and best practices of this field on medical devices |
Benefit: increase HTA culture among BME and share BME culture on HTA of medical devices among non-BME scholars. |

Webinar Series on HTA in Medical Devices
Outcome: promote one webinar a month in partnership with HTAD members and guests from other institutions involved in HTA practices (e.g., PAHO/WHO, ISPOR, HTAi, INAHTA) |
Benefit: disseminate HTA practices among BMEs and non-BMEs. |

HTA e-training platform for BMEs
Outcome: deliver didactic materials on HTA specifically designed for BMEs and CEs, in the form of headnotes (e.g., transcribing lectures delivered during the IFMBE HTAD summer schools) and eLearning contents (i.e., post-processing of lectures videorecorded during the summer schools). |
Benefit: increase HTA culture among BMEs and promote BME HTA-culture with non-BMEs. |

Benefit: Projection and creation of a IFMBE-HTAD identity with presence and participation in the main forums and initiative about HTA |

HTAD Strategic Communication & Advocacy

IFMBE HTAD Awards
Outcome: recognize individuals and organizations that contribute to the promotion and support of BME in HTA with three IFMBE HTAD prizes: /1) Best Paper Award, to BME and CE publishing outstanding HTA papers to journal or conferences. /2) Policy Award, to policymakers or stakeholders giving significant contribution recognition to BME in HTA. /3) Outstanding Contribution Award to individual giving outstanding contributions to BME involvement in HTA. |
