Andrea Facchinetti is Associate Professor of “Clinical engineering and health technology assessment” at the Department of Information Engineering, University of Padova (DEI-UNIPD), within the Bioengineering group. He received the Master degree in Computer Engineering in 2005 and the Ph.D. degree in Bioengineering in 2009, both from DEI-UNIPD. His current scientific interests include the processing of biomedical signals from wearable sensors, the development of Ai based models and mobile apps for decision support systems in medicine, and modeling methodologies applied to the assessment of medical devices and procedures. According to Scopus, he is author of more than 80 papers in international peer-reviewed journals and numerous peer-reviewed international conference publications, holds 10 international patent applications, and has an H-index of 29. He has been co-investigator for DEI-UNIPD in several FP7 (DIAdvisor, AP@home, MOSAIC) and H2020 (PULSE, Hypo-RESOLVE, Brainteaser) projects funded by the European Commission.
